The Expo is Being Held in Partnership With the Department of Electronics & IT (DeitY), Ministry of Communications & IT, Government of India
The stage is set for Delhi’s first Electronics Expo of the season, EFY Expo 2013. The event will kick-start tomorrow (21st February) with chief guest Kapil Sibal , Minister of Communications and Information Technology, inaugurating the event at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi (Halls 7, 8, 9 and 10). EFY Expo comes back this year in a much bigger and better avatar, bringing the entire electronics eco system under one roof.
This electronics show will cover an area of 8090 sq m, with more than 200 exhibitors showcasing their brands and products. EFY Expo 2013 is 10-15 per cent bigger than last year’s show. With the aim to become the No 1 Expo in terms of both quantity and quality of visitors, this show provides an apt platform for the buyers and sellers to meet, interact and transact. The presence of global players from electronics dominant nations like China, Japan and Taiwan in the Expo increases the business reach for players in the Indian electronics industry. This year’s Expo is particularly important, as it is being held in partnership with the Department of Electronics & IT (DeitY), Ministry of Communications & IT, Government of India. The event will help in bridging the gap between the government and the industry, which will hopefully have long-term positive effects on the Indian electronics industry. Exhibitors will get an opportunity to boost their business potential and strengthen their business network by reaching out to their target audience.
Speaking about the importance of the show, Ramesh Chopra , Founder and Vice President, EFY group, said, “EFY Expo brings the entire ecosystem for electronics industry under one umbrella. EFY Expo is one of our sincere efforts and commitments towards the industry, where we strive to contribute in making India an important manufacturing hub. This year’s show takes a significant step ahead of the previous editions. The Expo is being held in partnership with the Department of Electronics & IT (DeitY), Ministry of Communications & IT, Government of India. The Department of Electronics & IT aims to connect with the industry at the EFY Expo, which can be a great platform for bridging the gap and ensuring smoother communication between the industry and the government. It also has the support of NSIC and the approval of ITPO. Since last year’s Expo attracted the largest number of visitors from the industry in recent times, this year’s Expo is expected to draw an even larger crowd.”
The buyer-seller meetings at EFY Expo 2013 will be a major attraction for the exhibitors and the visitors. EFY has facilitated such meetings along with ELCINA to bring together those who provide and those in need of electronic components, manufacturing machinery, equipment, technology solutions, materials, products, services, R&D, etc, to network and to explore business opportunities during the Expo.
EFY Expo was a great success in 2012 and promises to continue its success ride this year as well, with fruitful takeaways for the entire electronics industry.
