Starting out as Linux Asia in 2004, OSI Days has since become the most premier event, bringing together the open source industry and the community. The 12th edition of OSI Days aims to take this event a notch higher by focusing on the open source ecosystem in Asia, and more specifically, in India.

Last year, the two-day event witnessed a whopping 7500+ registrations, comprising IT decision-makers, developers and academia. OSI Days 2014 witnessed some interesting talks and discussions on technologies like the cloud, mobile app development, kernel development, databases, web app development, et al. One of the most attractive features of the show was ‘Success Stories’, where CIOs and CTOs from companies like BookMyShow, Rediff.com, Goibibo.com, JustDial, Mahindra & Mahindra Finance, etc, came forward to share their open source success stories.

In addition, workshops on ‘Cross Platform Mobile Application Development’, ‘Programming OpenStack’, ‘Software Architecture in 90 Minutes’, ‘MySQL Performance Tuning’, ‘Drupal In A Day’, ‘Big Data: What, Why, How’ were a huge success and a great learning platform for the attendees.

Speaking about the show, Rahul Chopra, editor, Open Source For You magazine, said, “At Open Source India, we try to bridge the gap in between the industry and the community. Last year, the show witnessed a great interaction in between the industry stalwarts and the community members. Such a healthy discussion ended up with great technology innovations and creation of job opportunities. We look forward to take that journey a step further with Open Source India 2015.”

So, fasten your seat belts and start your journey of open source learning by registering yourself for OSI Days 2015.
