Multidisciplinary Innovation Drove EFY Conferences To A Grand Success

  • by

More than 150+ speakers from various backgrounds and disciplines flew in to BIEC in Bengaluru last week to engage with 10,000+ techies, making the 1st edition of EFY Conferences a grand success at India Electronics Week 2017.

BENGALURU, INDIA: EFY Conferences, the IoT mega-convention conducted at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) in Bengaluru, India, helped more than 10,000 techies to get going with Internet of Things (IoT) technology and business models last week, as part of the India Electronics Week 2017 event.

Thousands of engineers engaged with each other through six parallel tracks on various topics and themes happening at the event as part of IoTshow.in, leading the way to help them get better at building IoT and embedded systems technologies.

Delegates to the event were able to brush up their maker and engineering skills by attending from among over 24 workshops under the Electronics Rocks banner.

Dr Andreas Middendorf, Fraunhofer-Institut für Zuverlässigkeit und Mikrointegration, delivered the opening keynote at the event, and later moderated a panel discussion on ‘Optimally Leveraging Electronics and Digitisation to Transform Manufacturing through Industry 4.0’.

Other exciting talks included those that delved on building business and revenue models for IoT, smart retailing and more!
Techies were also joined by robots from Mitra and Universal Robots, which helped the support staff to distribute delegate bags and help attendees find conference tracks and speakers.

Martin Woolley from Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) said, “Attendance is of very high quality and includes a fascinating mix of thought leaders and policy makers, as well as some very serious and innovative engineers.”

Ramesh Chopra, executive chairman, EFY Group, said, “It gives us immense pleasure to have conducted and be appreciated for yet another successful technical conference under the EFY brand. Our conference’s success can be sourced back to the editorial team who managed speakers and conference themes; digital marketing team, who made sure our target audience knew about this wonderful event; and the entire team at EFY, for working towards excellence in technology content.”

The EFY Conferences 2017 event might officially be over, but at conferences.electronicsforu.com, every single month is a conference month with micro events being conducted across the country. About Electronics For You

The EFY Group’s first magazine, Electronics For You, or EFY, was launched in January 1969, when the Indian electronics industry was still at a nascent stage. Today, it has grown into South Asia’s most popular electronics magazine. In fact, EFY Group, which now owns a collection of media properties, has been named after this flagship brand.

The magazine’s goal is to keep the electronics fraternity updated with the latest in technology. It also keeps hobbyists busy with the circuit ideas and construction projects it features month after month. And it helps end consumers decide on which electronic product to buy when they enter a shopping mall. The DVD that accompanies each issue of this magazine carries a host of useful software and tools.
